2022年11月15日世界人口已經達到了80億。聯合國秘書長表示,當前的世界看似繁榮,但其發展卻是失衡的。人類大家庭在日益壯大的同時,也面臨著日益嚴重的不平等問題。如果不解決這些問題,世界上將充滿緊張和不信任、危機和衝突。2015年「聯合國發展高峰會」,發佈了《翻轉我們的世界:2030 年永續發展方針》。這份方針提出了所有國家都面臨的問題,並基於積極實踐平等與人權,規畫出 17 項永續發展目標及 169 項追蹤指標,同時兼顧了「經濟成長」、「社會進步」與「環境保護」等三大面向,作為未來 2030 年以前),成員國跨國合作的指導原則。
落實永續發展指標,需要從教育工作著手,雲科大全校師生同仁近年來早已將永續理念融入校務的運作中。參加111年度行政院國家永續發展獎,榮獲「教育類國家永續發展獎」。2022英國泰晤士高等教育(Times Higher Education, THE)世界大學影響力排名,以聯合國永續發展目標(SDGs)為評比依據,雲科大名列科大第一。雲科大在2022 亞太暨台灣永續行動獎表現亮眼,於「APSAA亞太行動獎」榮獲十獎項殊榮。本校獨創的永續通識課—社會造夢者,歷經三年十多位教師共同規劃授課,校長楊能舒治校理念堅信落實教育是促成SDGs實現的關鍵,持續精進發揮大學永續領航者的角色。楊能舒校長表示,雲科大在行政、教學、產學等各面向,都對接聯合國SDGs十七項目標,全校永續能量足堪全國大學表率,未來將繼續落實永續校園目標,提升高等教育的公共性,全面促進地方與全球社會、經濟、環境的永續發展!
通識教育中心除了在社會造夢者課程之外,也以「人社美產科」五向度融合論,培養現代公民具備人文、社會、美感、產業、科技,「跨域博涉,融通致用」的通識核心能力。本次舉辦「通識教育與永續發展指標實踐經驗論壇」學術研討會,宗旨就是呈現雲科大通識教育推動落實永續發展的教學成果。訴求從拓展恢弘的全球化眼觀,到關懷地方的社會造夢者的大學社會責任(USR)實踐經驗交流與分享,其中SDGs第17項指標--合作夥伴尤其是成功的關鍵。
因此,本次研討會論壇將邀請友邦國家駐華大使參與論壇,包括吐瓦魯、聖文森格瑞那丁、貝里斯,分享該國在因應SDGs的政策與教育措施,藉由該國的現身說法,互相瞭解溝通對話面對世界變遷,大學通識教育的因應思維。研討會並邀請極具代表性的通識教育課程,參與發表教學成果。發表主題包括綠色科技創意、食物科技與安全、永續生活的生態素養、溯源供應鏈永續營運、無人機應用農地生態永續等精彩主題。

To implement sustainable development indicators, we need to start from education work. In recent years, teachers and students of YunTech University have integrated the concept of sustainability into the operation of school affairs. Participated in the 2011 Executive Yuan National Sustainable Development Award and won the "National Sustainable Development Award for Education". In addition to the social dream maker course, the General Education Center also uses the five-dimensional integration theory to cultivate modern citizens with humanities, society, aesthetics, industry, and technology. With the strategy "cross-disciplinary wide-ranging, integrated implement" to teach the general knowledge core competencies. The purpose of this academic event "General Education and Sustainable Development Indicators Practical Experience Forum" is to present the teaching achievements of YunTech University's general education to promote the implementation of sustainable development. Therefore, this forum invite 3 diplomatic ambassadors in Taiwan to participate in the forum, including Tuvalu, St. Vincent Grenadines, Belize, to share the country's policy and education measures in response to the SDGs, through the country's Showing up to speak, mutual understanding, communication and dialogue, in the face of fast changes in the world, from the corresponding thinking of university’s general education. The forum also invite representative general education courses to participate in the presentation of teaching results. The topics of the presentation include green technology and creativity, food technology and safety, ecological competency for sustainable life, sustainable operation of traceable supply chain, and drone application in agricultural land ecological sustainability.
